sex and aging

Sexual Health and Wellbeing affects us all from the cradle to the grave.

Now that we are living longer and remaining much more active for many years longer, it is only natural that many couples wish to continue to enjoy an active sex-life. In case any young people are reading this – NO – your generation did not invent - SEX - neither did your parents or grandparents for that matter.

The problem with the older generation is that we were brought up not to talk about “IT” and therefore , when things are not as they should be, it is hard if not impossible to go and talk to that nice young Doctor, after all he/she is young enough to be your grandchild.

So what are these problems we face?
Here are two examples:

  1. Vaginal dryness. Happens to many of us after the menopause.
  2. Erectile dysfunction. Often a side effect of prescription tablets, but were you warned about this?

What can be done? PLENTY!
Speak to your G.P. they really will understand and help. Help really is to hand, so stop suffering in silence and ask.
