P-Test

The P-test is a urine test for Chlamydia. You can get a P-test at the Sexual Health Services, Nithbank in Dumfries, Monday- Friday 9.00am to 4.00pm. Alternatively, visit your nearest Sexual Health Clinic.

17 March 2009 - As part of the new pharmacy contract, all 33 community pharmacies across Dumfries & Galloway now offer free postal testing kits for Chlamydia and free emergency hormone contraception (EHC) to those 13 years of age and above.

Before you come it is important that you do not pass urine for two hours prior to your visit.
Most people do not show symptoms. A course of antibiotics is all that is needed to cure it. Remember, you should have a test every time you sleep with someone new (without using a condom).
