It is a common infection with around 1 in 10 young people under 25 testing positive. Most men an Women MAY NOT HAVE ANY OBVIOUS SYMPTOMS so do not know they have it.

You may not like to ask in your pharmacy for a PTK, so you can Download and and print* a voucher to get your free postal testing kit. Hand over the voucher at the counter in your local chemist or ask to speak to the pharmacist privately to receive your kit. For males, the test will be a urine sample so do not pass urine for 1 hour prior to taking a sample. For females, the test is a self-taken lower vaginal swab. The tests are easy to do and step-by-step instructions are provided.
